3.4. Documents
If you’re seeing this page, it means you’ve set up a business view for your messages—what we refer to as Documents.
For instance, this could be a list of your invoices, including fields like Amount, Currency, Due Date, Recipient, and more.
You have full control over the types of documents you want to work with and the fields you’d like to include. These settings can be customized in the admin section.
Example of a document list: Invoices Goods.
You can configure different document types. To do so, you must first:
-
Configure your DocumentTypes in the admin section (which DocumentType do you want? With which fields? ...)
-
Extract business information from your messages, by using the ExtraProcessing "Extract documents" on your Message Definitions.
Document Lists
Once you have configured your document types, and you begin to populate them through your message traffic, a new entry will appear in the monitoring menu section for every document type you create:
As you can see in the illustration above, document types can be grouped into menus and submenus.
The default list of columns can be configured in your document type configuration and users can modify it for themselves as for all Babelway grids on adapting the grid settings on the bottom right of the table.
Document Details
Each menu entry will lead you to a list of your documents. When you click on an entry you will see the details of your document:
1. This includes the up to date content of your document:
You can customize how labels and sections are displayed on this page when setting up your document type.
2. Details also include a change log listing the different messages that have modified this document (note that message traffic is the only way to modify the content of documents):
