This "How to" should provide you with the necessary steps to implement a working integration with J.B. Hunt from scratch using Babelway.
Preferred Protocols and Message Formats. When integrating with J.B. Hunt, you will be expected to send X12 messages through FTP, AS2, or VAN. Their preferred integration method and ours is AS2.
Contact and Resource information.

Setting up your connection
You can set up a number of connections with J.B. Hunt since they support FTP, AS2 and VAN. We discourage the use of VAN as it involves additional costs and is the least straightforward setup. We will describe the setup using an AS2 connection which is their preferred integration method. Your channel will look something like this:
Once you have indicated to J.B. Hunt that you will be integrating using AS2 they will expect you to share your AS2 information. In order to provide this, you can begin by creating a dummy AS2 gateway in:
Download the AS2 specifications ZIP in the properties tab of your newly created gateway. You will need the information inside to complete J.B. Hunt's AS2 set up form. The setup form can be found in the JBHunt resources. The first tab involves sharing trading contact information.
If we will be implementing this for your, complete the highlighted sections with Babelway's contact information. The second tab requests your AS2 information. The first field requests your communication IDs (if you don't already use X12 communication IDs see ISA qualifier and identifier ). The rest of the information can be found in the zip you just downloaded:
In the zip, you will find a PDF containing the AS2 configuration information. Use it to complete the matching fields above:
The zip also contains a ".crt" file. If you double click on it, windows will display a summary of the certificate information. You can use it to complete the last two parts of the form:
J.B. Hunt's AS2 EDI forms contains the specs required to complete your gateway configuration. You will also need their certificate.
You will use this information to create your gateway out:
And complete your gateway in:
You may need to send out 997 acknowledgements for documents J.B. Hunt sends you. If so, you should have a look at Babelway's 997 implementation:
